Davison Insurance Agent Wins Top Company Award (Davison Index, Aug. 29, 2008)

Mark Owen of the Mark Owen Agency, LLC in Davison, Michigan was recently awarded the 2008 MEEMIC Apple Award. Mr. Owen has been the local insurance representative for MEEMIC Insurance Company for over 12 years. Mr. Owen was recognized for his outstanding leadership, customer service, best practices, and professionalism.

Mr. Owen received a crystal apple trophy in addition to a monetary award.

Davison High School's "Best New Business Venture"

The Davison High School held a competition for the "Best New Business Venture".Students were given the task of coming up with a proposal to a "new business venture" and used their business, marketing and communication skills to impress judges. This was done in an "American Idol" format. The judges were Mark Owen, Local Agent of MEEMIC Insurance Company, Robert Denthick ISO of Merchant Merchandising and Kim Crane, Financial Planning and Marketing of Thivent Financial. Tess Niedzielski, Kaleb Forr, Brandon Burke and Ethan Stull were the student finalists participating. Tom Benton is the DECA Advisor. Each participant gave an outstanding presentation and a great time was had by all.

Mark Owen Agency Sponsors Davison Community Schools "Dunk Tank" in 2008

For the past three years Davison Community Schools has held a "Back to School Blast" each August to help community members make the transition to the upcoming school year. Local vendors and school organizations get a chance to inform community members of available programs and offerings. The Mark Owen Agency has supported this cause each year.

In 2008 the Mark Owen Agency sponsored the "Dunk Tank". Children and adults attending the event were given a chance to throw a softball and hit the bull's-eye to dunk their favorite teacher, principal or local politician! This was a free activity and fun was had by one and all.

Throughout the year our agency also supports cadet student teachers, sports organizations, student of the month programs as well as many other school related programs and services. We pride ourselves in helping our educational communities!
